AGR 0.9.0 World Map Update


In a nutshell:

This update needed quite a few under the hood changes, but it’s finally here.
First things first, a world map has been added, so it should be easier to find your bearings in this vast wilderness… well, kind of.
Hit indicators also were added, so it’s nowy visible when the attack connects and how much damage it does.  Anddd you can now blow yourself up when disarming a mine… because crafting and a few other support skills now handle critical successes and failures.

I wonder what that does?


New features:

- World map (default key M)
- Hit indicators for physical attacks (different blood splatter for each damage type) 
- Hit indicators for elemental attacks (different for each damage type)
- Hit indicators for mental attacks
- Damage numbers are now displayed on screen

- Crafting & building:
  - Critical success now maxes out all randomizable stats and halves the crafting time.
  - Fail now either removes one resource or does nothing (50% chance for each)
  - Critical fail removes all resources

- Traps & Locks
   - Critical fail while lockpicking now jams the lock
   - Critical fail while disarming traps now triggers the trap

Game balance:

- Crafting now can critically succeed (max quality and half the crafting time)
- Crafting now can critically fail (removes all of the resources)
- Crafting now can fail (50 % chance to remove random resource)
- Building now can critically succeed (max quality and half the crafting time)
- Building now can critically fail (removes all of the resources)
- Building now can fail (50 % chance to remove random resource)
- Critical fail while lockpicking now jams the lock
- Critical fail while disarming traps now triggers the trap
- Minor item rebalances…

Bug hunter log:

- Fixed vital flag not working properly for limb body parts
- Fixed random crash during combat
- Few smaller fixes and typos

What’s next?

Since it will be the last update I’ll focus on polish, so bug fixes, rebalancing and overall quality of life changes.
